Mabe formed in Buenos Aires in 2012 around singer-songwriter Mabe Fratti, with Tomás Baillie on drums, Lucas Mendez on bass, and Imanol Sánchez on keyboards. They built a following in the city's indie scene with a sound rooted in acoustic folk.
Their self-titled debut album came out in 2014, followed by 'Ruido' in 2017. The single 'Decidí' arrived in 2022. The band's work tends toward introspective lyrics and ethereal melodies, with Fratti's vocals and guitar at the center.
In 2018, the group faced allegations of inappropriate behavior at a concert, which they denied. They released the album 'Púrpura' in 2021.
