P.A.F. came together in Portland, Oregon, with Adam Dorn on vocals, Brian Fortner on guitar, and Jeremy Wilmot on drums. They put out their first album, The Blur, in 2007. Their 2013 album, Love & Fake, includes the title track that deals with the messy overlap of affection and deception.
That album, along with 2010's Sweet & Vicious, built their reputation for writing songs that lean into emotional territory. They've worked with other musicians like Greg Brown and DJ Shadow, but the core trio has stayed the same.
