SALAS formed in Alicante around 2012 when brothers Pablo and Juan Salas teamed up with drummer Rafa Martínez. They started playing covers in local bars before releasing their first album, "Serpiente," in 2015.
Their 2019 song "Ansiedad," featuring Cristian Sánchez, became their breakthrough track. It captured a particular feeling of anxiety that connected with listeners and helped push the band beyond their local scene.
They've released a few albums since then, including "Cuerpo Eléctrico" in 2017 and "El lado oscuro" in 2021. Their sound tends toward atmospheric indie rock with some electronic touches, built around Pablo's vocals and the brothers' guitar and bass work.
