S.R SAUL came out of Madrid's rock scene in the late 1980s, with Saul Azul on vocals, Alberto Cutillas on guitar, Carlos Chacón on bass, and Arturo García "Tuky" on drums. Their first album, "No Esperes Más," came out in 1991 and gave them a hit with the title track. They put out a few more records after that, like "El Hombre del Año" in 1992, "Instintos" in 1994, and "El Techo del Mundo" in 1996.
Their sound pulled from punk, rockabilly, and flamenco, which gave them a rough, energetic feel. Songs like "Un Toque Pal Cielo" and "Te Quiero Yo Te Necesito" show that mix. They called it quits in 2001.
