The Underachievers are a hip-hop duo from Brooklyn made up of rappers Issa Dash and AK the Savior. They put out their first album 'Cellar Door' in 2013, followed by projects like 'Indigoism' and 'Renaissance' over the next few years.
Their track 'Amorphous' features the indie rock band Portugal. The Man, which gives you a sense of where their sound sometimes goes. Other songs like 'Play That Way' and 'Stone Cold' show their range within hip-hop.
They've faced some criticism for their approach to the genre, which tends toward the introspective and leans into themes of consciousness. But they've kept a loyal following who appreciate that direction.
