A Los Angeles band that makes alternative rock with introspective lyrics, never chasing trends.
If you're new to UNITEX, start with 'Alone' and 'Obsessão', they frame the band's sound and themes pretty clearly.
Their 2016 song 'Alone' became widely recognized, capturing the band's focus on themes of isolation and self-discovery. Tracks like 'Obsessão' and 'Vencer' show how they blend alternative rock with personal reflection without trying for commercial hits. They've built a catalog that feels lived-in rather than polished for radio.
UNITEX formed in Los Angeles and released their debut album 'Awakening' in 2008, followed by 'The Divide' in 2012 and 'Identity' in 2020. In 2014, a former member filed a lawsuit over compensation and creative differences, which was settled out of court. Their 2016 album 'Alone' included the title track that gained wider recognition.
