Editor's note

X1, a brief flash of K-pop ambition

A short-lived but memorable boy band formed through the survival show 'Produce X 101'.

For the full scope of their brief run, listen to the bright urgency of 'FLASH' and the smoother 'U GOT IT'.

X1 arrived with a burst of energy from the 'Produce X 101' finale, and their debut single 'FLASH' captured that momentum perfectly. They managed to release a handful of tracks like 'U GOT IT' and 'Move' before disbanding, leaving a specific sound and a fanbase that still talks about what might have been.

The group formed in 2019 from the TV competition 'Produce X 101'. Their activity was cut short by controversy surrounding the show's voting, leading to a disbandment in early 2020 after just a few months.

X1 was a South Korean boy band formed through the reality competition show 'Produce X 101' in 2019. They debuted with the single 'FLASH,' which became an immediate hit and topped music charts. Their debut album was called 'Emergency: Quantum Leap.'

The group had eleven members, including Hangyul, Dohyon, Seungyoun, Woojin, Junho, Dongpyo, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Eunsang, Seungwoo, and Yohan. Their fans were known as 'ONE ITs.'
