Yagan formed in Buenos Aires in the early 2000s with five members: Martín Giner on vocals, Fabrizio Rodriguez on guitar, Santiago Fernández on bass, Nicolás Viola on drums, and Pablo Vignale on keyboards. They started releasing albums in 2004 with 'El Silencio,' followed by records like 'Revolución Interior' in 2007 and 'Interno Paraíso' in 2013.
Their music pulls from rock and folk with some Latin rhythms, and songs like 'O Sol da Meia Noite' and 'Pássaros' show their layered guitar work and reflective lyrics. The 2007 album 'Revolución Interior' drew attention for its political themes during Argentina's turmoil, but it also found an audience and helped establish their presence.
The band's sound, with Giner's poetic writing, tends to explore personal and social themes without settling into one genre.
