A trio crafting ambient textures around Zola Moon's introspective vocals.
If you're new to them, 'For Sure.' and 'Boomerang' frame what they do well, that atmospheric drift, Moon's voice floating through it all.
Their songs like 'For Sure.' and 'Boomerang' have that drifting quality that pulls you in without demanding attention. Moon's openness about mental health gives the lyrics a personal weight, and the band's ambient textures create space for that introspection. It's music that feels lived-in rather than performed.
Z by Z formed with Zola Moon on vocals, Zenon Xeron on guitar, and Esme Etheridge on bass. They put out 'Seraph's Call' in 2016, followed by 'Whispers in the Void' in 2021, with 'Searching' getting some attention in between.
